THE PTERRY THANK YOU PROJECT
A collection of fans' thank yous for Terry Pratchett
This is to be a FUN, UPLIFTING collection of drawings, thank yous and prose to thank Mr. Pratchett for his wonderful writing and influence on our lives. They say laughter is the best medicine- as Discworld has shown us multiple times- and we want to give PTerry the best medicine we can. All the submissions will be printed into a booklet.
Submissions can be made to pterrythankyouproject AT gmail.com until January 15th.
We'll be glad to take art, essays and thank yous. Please, nothing too vulgar- we want to heal, not give him a heart attack!
Also, we've had such a great response, I'd love to have a friendly competition for the cover of the Thank You Book- If you are interested in submitting a cover, please place COVER ART in the title of your email.
No fanfiction please, and the entire thing will most likely be printed on 8.5x11- so art should be at least 300 dpi (and no bigger than 8 by 10inches).
----------------------------------------
I'll keep everyone updated on how we're doing- if anyone wants to volunteer as beta readers and editors, lemme know.
Also, if people want to suggest a title for the booklet in the comments, please do!

Title Suggestion....
What about a joke along the lines of Granny Weatherwax's I'm-out-borrowing" card?
You aten't dead!

Re: Title Suggestion....
*seconds!*It seems crass but I think it would be right up his alley.

I will try my best to send something in! Is there any specific format you want?
-- And, oh; if you need someone else, I'm willing to beta/edit/spellcheck.

I would submit something, but I have no talent whatsoever. But if you need any help with proofreading or admin, I'm happy to help.

I shy away from Lulu because we do not have permission to use his characters. But, I was planning on getting it bound at my local kinko's....

I will definitely contribute, maybe just a really nice letter, and I would be extremely glad to help proof-read, edit, compile etc. You can drop me an e-mail at anatwork.kay@gmail.com.
By the way, I completely second azikale's suggestion about having the submissions printed up into a nice hardcover book. I'm sure we could all arrange a contribution or something for it.
It might also be worth publicizing this on afp (alt.fan.pratchett) through google groups. You will probably get some people from there who would like to contribute.

I definetly second spreading the word as much as possible, though!

And I'm sure you have enough volunteers, but just in case, I'm willing to beta/edit as well. :)
